More Coming Soon, I will be uploading various educational PDF's, saxophone exercises. Many books provide examples and require you to learn them in all keys by ear. It is most definitely an excellent approach, and should be used whenever possible. Part of me feels though, if it is muscle memory and tonal memorization that you're going for, the number of repetitions becomes quite important. For example, if all harmonic minor scales are written out in all 12 keys, you can more quickly achieve the repetitions if your reading them. It also will assist in improving your reading, and your ear goes along for the ride. It is very important however, that while trying to increase the number of repetitions, be sure they are played perfectly before moving on to a faster tempo or another key. Chords and analysis should be included whenever possible. This helps visualize your connection with the sound of a particular arpeggio or scale.
